Well I guess without the CFPB Wells Fargo will start up there scam again. This is going to cost people a lot of money and the ability for senior abuse will be sky high.
The #CFPB is super-efficient in its core mission: protecting American consumers from illegal charges and business practices, and has garnered a lot of refunds for many consumers. The ‘E’ in #DOGE stand for #Efficiency. So, #Elon, keep your mitts off it!
CFPB, another corrupt government creation that didn't do what it claimed. Like US-AID, it hasn't really helped anyone, as claimed. Wasted money, that we cannot afford to spend.
A return to the pre-CFPB wild west of 2010, when everything was so different and people were afraid to bank and kept all their money in coffee cans in the cupboard. We're going through the hyperbole of the opposition to these changes. You sound exactly like the harbingers of doom over the ACA, with the death panels and people dying on the wait list for cancer treatments. There were protections before the CFPB and their will be protections after the CFPB, and I'd prefer whomever is responsible for enforcing those protections have more accountability to the legislative and judicial processes than the current CFPB.

Why do you think that the CFPB is not sufficiently accountable to legislative and/or judicial processes?
