I agree wholeheartedly with this: "People don’t want handouts. They want a fair shot to build, create, and prosper."

In the words of those who champion free enterprise and innovation: Freedom of entry for the would be producer is essential. Give the owner builder scope for he, his family and his mates to co-operatively create a dwelling. Allow for a place where he can squat on a piece of land in exchange for rent. And allow for those who can provide the land to do just that. And allow for those of us who have the skills and generosity to help our fellow man just get on with it.

If one does not have a roof over ones head, its not possible to function. Its not possible to form a family. Women will have children out of wedlock and in the absence of a provider, the state will have to provide for those children. Its far from ideal.

Yes, lets facilitate competition. Lets not stand in its way. Lets be vigilant about rooting out regulations and practices that reinforce the market power of state sanctioned oligopolists and monopolists.

And while we are about it look closely at all the subsidies handed out by the state that subvert competition.

Look too at the tax dodges that enable enterprises to exist that would never see the light of day in a free market.

Lets free up the market to do its job.
